What is Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership medicine?
DPC medicine, also known as membership medicine, is a model where the doctor is able to foster the doctor-patient relationship. For a reasonable membership fee, the patient acquires more time with the doctor to ensure the best possible care plus many other benefits. See our Membership page.
Do you accept health insurance in your practice?
No. Please see next question.
Will I still need health insurance?
Yes, you’ll still need health insurance, though you may be able to reduce the amount you pay.
Your DPC membership is not an insurance plan; you’ll still need insurance if you have a major health problem. (But when those problems arise, your DPC doctor will be next to you to guide you through the system and coordinate your care.) That said, you may be able to save money on your insurance! Since all routine care is covered by your membership, you can switch to a “high-deductible” health plan that costs less per month.
Recently, some alternatives to traditional insurance companies have been gaining in popularity. You may actually be able to save money by joining a healthcare cost-sharing community.
Why should I pay for membership?
Membership to our practice puts an extra emphasis on making health and wellness a priority. It provides you with the method to take your health seriously and make the best decisions on how to live a healthy life. You will have a doctor who is able to care about not only treating you but also preventing you from requiring medical attention. Dr. Liederbach will have more time to really get to know you and your problems in order to figure out the best possible care.
How do I sign up for membership?
Give us a call at (910) 762-4488, and we would be happy to set you up with a membership packet.
